Frequently asked questions

How long does it take?
Initial scope within 24 working hours. The report is delivered within 10 working days of the site visit, laboratory analyses included. In urgent cases, analyses can be obtained within 24 to 48 hours.
Where do you work?
Mainly in the canton of Vaud. In Geneva, Fribourg, Valais, Neuchâtel and Jura on request.
Which pollutants are surveyed?
Asbestos, PCBs, lead, PAHs and HBCD, depending on the building's age and the planned works. Samples are analysed by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
Do the samples damage the building?
No: sampling is discreet and the sampling points are neatly filled in.
Can I send photos or plans?
Yes, by email to batiscan@batiscan.ch: photos of the materials and plans of the building help prepare the site visit.
